Acupuncture - Kay Barnes, DipAc, PG Dip, MBAcC
Kay trained at the Northern College of Acupuncture (NCA) in York, graduating from a 4-year postgraduate degree course accredited by the British Acupuncture Council. She holds an NCA professional Diploma in Acupuncture, a post-graduate Diploma in Acupuncture from the University of Wales and has been a member of the British Acupuncture Council since graduation. Kay currently practices full time, dividing her time between clinics in Wakefield and Sheffield.
Since graduating Kay has undertaken wide ranging Continuing Professional Development including studying the use of acupuncture to support Fertility and IVF and Obstetrics,
For 5 years she also worked as a Regional Tutor at NCA in York mentoring groups of students on their path to graduation.
As an advanced practitioner of Wu style Tai Chi Chuan (21 years experience) Kay continues to work with her own qi, which hones her awareness and sensitivity thereby further enhancing her clinical practice. Kay's style is to provide as gentle acupuncture as possible.
Although Kay's particular interests are in Gynaecology and Mental and Emotional problems she enjoys most the opportunity to work with as wide a range of people and conditions as possible.
